Built and led by Stefan Cutler.

Stackwise is an independent engineering-software project created by a college freshman with a focus on understandable calculations, capable workflows, and professional tools that remain accessible to individual builders.

PRODUCTStackwise

“I’m building Stackwise to learn deeply, solve a real problem, and make the kind of engineering software that an individual can start using without an enterprise budget.”

AVAILABLE

Calculation engine

Worst-case and RSS linear stacks, mixed-unit normalization, requirements, contribution ranking, asymmetric Monte Carlo inputs, correlation, nonlinear equations, seeded runs, yield, and sensitivity.

AVAILABLE

CAD exchange bridge

Import mapped CSV or Stackwise Exchange JSON, review parameter changes, retain feature references, and export a neutral project handoff. It does not silently read native CAD geometry.

LOCAL-FIRST

Data model

Project calculations run in the browser. Imported project data is not uploaded by the calculator, and advanced analysis does not require an account or payment check.

PLANNED

Public API and SDK

There is no supported public API yet. A future release may expose versioned schemas, headless calculation endpoints, and CAD-specific adapters after the underlying model is stable.

Exchange contract

Stackwise Exchange v1

The neutral handoff tracks project metadata and signed dimensions. Each dimension can include nominal size, conservative tolerance, direction, units, CAD feature reference, source, confidence, and notes.

Build with the current product

Start with documented files, not an unstable API.

Use the CAD bridge and exported CSV/JSON formats for prototypes. Pin the schema version, retain your original source file, and validate results independently before manufacturing.
