About Stackwise
Stackwise is an independent project built by a college freshman learning how engineering software should feel: understandable, capable, affordable, and honest about its limits.
The reason
Many builders outgrow single-purpose calculators but cannot justify expensive manufacturing software. Stackwise aims to occupy the useful middle: deeper project analysis, clear assumptions, and polished workflows available without a required subscription.
The product is early. That is stated plainly because trust matters more than appearing larger than reality. Features are added when they can be explained, tested, and bounded—not merely because they look impressive.
Inputs, equations, assumptions, and limitations should be visible enough to review.
Advanced controls should solve a real project problem without punishing a beginner.
Local-first workflows reduce unnecessary collection of sensitive engineering information.
Stackwise is not a full 3D GD&T solver and does not replace engineering judgment.
Help shape it
If Stackwise fails to explain a workflow, gives an unexpected result, or lacks a small feature that would save meaningful time, send a non-confidential example through support.
